CBP Clarification to New Section 232 Steel, Aluminum and Copper Derivatives

GSM International has received clarification from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regarding the reporting of no metal content for the purposes of the new Section 232 steel, aluminum, and copper derivatives.

Specifically, for derivative articles, except for articles classifiable in chapters 72, 73, 74 or 76, that do not contain any of the applicable metals (Aluminum, Steel or Copper), CBP has advised that 9903.82.03 AGG WGT MTL <15% WGT,NT16© must be transmitted with zero (0) KG for the quantity on the 9903.82.03 Tariff line.
