Trump Administration Suggests Tariffs for Furniture Imports Later This Year

President Trump announced on Friday, Aug. 22, that his administration has initiated an investigation into furniture imports, with the possibility of imposing tariffs on these products later this year.  “Within the next 50 days, that Investigation will be completed, and Furniture coming from other Countries into the United States will be Tariffed at a Rate yet to be determined,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.. “This will bring the Furniture Business back to North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, and States all across the Union.”
