President Trump in a Truth Social post on Friday, Oct. 10, said that his administration will impose 100% tariffs on China products, “over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying,” by Nov. 1 or sooner, citing an “extraordinary aggressive position” taken by China against the U.S. with new tariffs and increased export controls on rare earth metals.  In addition, on Nov. 1, President Trump said his administration will impose new export controls on all critical software for China.

“It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History, ” he said in his social media post.
