President Trump in a Truth Social post this morning, Feb. 21, said he will now increase the 10% ad valorem import duty under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act on all articles imported into the U.S. over the next 150 days to the maximum 15% tariff.
On Friday, Feb. 20, the president announced that he will implement a 10% global tariff under Section 122 in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision which struck down the Trump administration’s use of IEEPA tariffs. The Section 232 and 301 tariffs will remain in place, he added.
